So, after a four-year hiatus from New York Fashion Week, I finally made my grand return this past February. The last time I attended was in 2020 (story time on day for sure), before the world shifted—COVID shutdowns, job loss, and life taking unexpected turns kept me from making my way back. And since I wasn’t on official assignment, my past experiences were mostly for fun—volunteering to cover shows, attending networking events, and supporting friends who were walking. But I promised myself that the next time I went, it had to make sense.
The Opportunity That Changed Everything
Over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Skribble Dad Media, an insanely talented video content creator, and his daughter Atalia Lyrical, a phenomenal child influencer, model, and actress. Watching her growth has been nothing short of inspiring. So when her dad, Skribble, presented me with the opportunity to join them for the Fall/Winter season of NYFW, I knew this was my moment. I booked my flight, secured my hotel (first time staying in Manhattan was magical), and braced myself for the experience ahead.
Runway 7 at Sony Hall – Rhinestone Sugar Couture

The first show I covered was Runway 7 at Sony Hall for Rhinestone Sugar Couture, a dazzling children’s and teen fashion brand handcrafted by designer Jessica Marulanda. If The Wizard of Oz and high fashion had a baby, this would be it. From sparkling embellishments to couture-level craftsmanship, Jessica’s designs brought magic to the runway. The creativity was next-level, and I was in awe of how she blended childhood whimsy with luxury fashion.
And let’s talk about the performances—Nico Rocks absolutely killed it! The background dancers, the energy, the whole production? Chef’s kiss. Matthew’s live performance during the runway show was equally dope, adding a whole other level of artistry to the moment. I also got to check out Agape Kidz Couture, Savvy Kids Magazine, and Mi Regalia—all equally impressive, all pushing the boundaries of children’s fashion. And major shoutout to the young models who braved NYC’s winter and snowfall to strut their stuff. True professionals!
I was also lucky to have my makeup artist and friend Jamika of Love Enhancing by my side. She’s been such a solid support, and I couldn’t have done this without her.
Drisha’s Closet x Art Hearts Fashion Show

Next up was the Drisha’s Closet Solo Show at the Angel Orensanz Foundation, in collaboration with Art Hearts Fashion. Once again covering for Rhinestone Sugar Couture, I had the best time capturing behind-the-scenes magic—helping kids get runway-ready and photographing mini shoots featuring their bomb bomber jackets, tees, and bedazzled custom designs.
But the highlight? Drisha’s Closet. A luxury clothing collection known for custom couture pieces showcased across LA, NY, Milan, Paris, and London Fashion Week. The elegance and attention to detail in Drisha’s designs left me speechless. The entire production was a statement—mystical, cultural, and refined.
Other standout designers from the show included Elsa Fairy, Homespun Couture, Endless Couture, Kandahar Market, Archie Brown, and Designer Dream Collection. Each brought their own unique flair to the runway, making the entire experience one big visual feast.
hiTechMODA Show – Elena’s Collection

For the final show, we raced back to Time Square area to capture Elena’s Collection at the hiTechMODA Show at Edison Ballroom—an event founded by the incredible Pamela S. Privette. Let me take a second to acknowledge Pamela—before the show started, she actually came out to connect with the audience. That level of personal engagement? Unheard of. It set the tone for an experience that was smooth, professional, and deeply intentional. A true palette cleanser for the start of the show.
Elena Pulido’s collection was a breathtaking display of sparkle, intricate detailing, and pure elegance. Her designs radiated luxury, with every piece showcasing her mastery of craftsmanship and eye for sophistication. Although I didn’t get to meet Elena in person, her energy was felt—every design radiated love, precision, and pure artistry.
Other designers included Marc Defang, SCI PH, Kat Couture, Neals Ensemble, Paaie, House of STL, and Romania Kids Fashion TV. Each collection unfolded like a visual masterpiece, weaving together cultural richness, modern creativity, and an undeniable sense of grace.
Final Thoughts – A Heart Full of Gratitude

Every moment, from the fast-paced backstage energy to the stunning final walks, was an absolute dream. The level of artistry, storytelling, and passion that went into these shows reminded me why I fell in love with this industry in the first place. The energy, the production, the artistry of it all made every moment unforgettable.
A massive thank you to Skribble Dad Media for bringing me along, Jessica Marulanda for adopting me as part of the Rhinestone Sugar Couture family, and Elena Pulido for her stunning show. This entire experience reminded me of why I love fashion, photography, and storytelling.
And guess what? I’ll be back in September —bigger, better, and even more prepared. Stay tuned, because next season? It’s going to be special.
Until then, much love,\
